Passports

Our Passports agents receive passport applications, review, and certify new passport applications, and send them to the Miami Passport Office for issue. Passport applications are processed and photographs may be obtained at our Passport Acceptance Facility at the Clerk of the Court Records Center, 1750 E Lake Mary Blvd. Sanford, FL. The center is open for processing from 8:30am to 3:00pm. Our policy is to service customers on a first-come, first-serve and please expect to spend at least 30-45 minutes with an agent once your visit starts. We encourage you to visit the official Department of State website at travel.state.gov to familiarize yourself with the process and to obtain the required documentation based on your application status. In order to expedite your visit to the Passport Center, please complete all paperwork prior to your arrival.

Customer Service Representatives are available Monday-Friday 8:00am – 10:00pm Eastern time. (except federal holidays). Automated information is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

*For passport renewals only: If certain Department of State criteria are met, individuals must mail a renewal application (Form DS-82) directly to the Department of State. To determine eligibility for mail-in renewal, visit the Department of State’s passport renewal page by clicking here. (Note: The Clerk of Court is not permitted to execute Form DS-82 mail-in renewal forms).

When renewing your passport (using Form DS-82), a passport agent may review the form for accuracy only. The form and applicable fees must be mailed by the applicant. (Note: For new passport applications, individuals must appear in person, use Form DS-11 and the $25.00 fee is required).

All forms are available at our passport facility center or can be downloaded from travel.state.gov.
