The purpose of the Value Adjustment Board is to hear appeals regarding denied exemptions, petitions relating to assessments, and appeals concerning ad valorem tax deferrals.
The Department of Revenue has a Value Adjustment Board site on which they keep all relevant information for the unified, statewide processes and forms for Value Adjustment Boards.

To file a petition you need to fill out a form. The right forms are available here, from the DoR site. You will file one of the DR-486 forms with our office; exactly which form depends on the type of petition.
