The purpose of the Value Adjustment Board is to hear appeals regarding denied exemptions, petitions relating to assessments, and appeals concerning ad valorem tax deferrals.
The Seminole County VAB is soliciting for qualified Special Magistrates for the 2017 petition process. Interested applicants must meet all requirements per Section 194.035, Florida Statutes, and submit their completed applications with supporting documentation no later than May 25, 2017 to the following address:

The Department of Revenue has a Value Adjustment Board site on which they keep all relevant information for the unified, statewide processes and forms for Value Adjustment Boards.
The Seminole County Property Appraiser's office also has useful information about property taxes, tax exemptions and the VAB.
To file a petition you need to fill out a form. The right forms are available here, from the DoR site. You will file one of the DR-486 forms with our office; exactly which form depends on the type of petition.
