By NICK PFEIFAUF JACKSONVILLE - Seminole County Clerk of Circuit Court Maryanne Morse was named to the prestigious Board of Directors of the Florida Associations of Court Clerks Wednesday during the final evening of a three day statewide conference near Jacksonville. The board, along with the association officers and directors at large, provides guidance and policy making decisions for the association which represents Circuit Court Clerks from all 67 Florida counties. Morse, who will represent District 4, was chosen to be one of ten who will represent the state's five districts. "I feel very honored," Morse said, "especially considering this is just my second year in office. Most of those on the board have been Circuit Court Clerk's Association for eight years, even up to 20."
The annual summer conference, held this year at the Marriott Sawgrass resort in northern St. Johns County affords clerks and key deputy clerks the opportunity to learn of new procedures and methods of operation, as well as receive information pertaining to new laws enacted my the Legislature, especially those that become effective on July 1 of each year.
