POLITICAL PULSE - THE METRO SCENE Circuit Court Clerk Maryanne Morse is getting to be pretty popular with the Seminole County Commission. On Tuesday, she presented the board with a $700,000 check from money generated by her office. Last month, her office paid for a $102,000 fiber-optic connection between the County Services Building in Sanford and the county's communication center.
Morse may be getting a little giddy about the whole savings thing, however. A news release about the latest savings had phrases such as "cutting costs is never sexy, but it is contagious" and "a 31/2-mile on-ramp into the Information Super-highway."
