Morse Breaks Record

Political Pulse
THE METRO SCENE

Maryanne Morse may have broken a record in her bid to regain her seat as Seminole's clerk of the circuit court.

Political insiders think Morse may have been the first county candidate to garner more than 100,000 votes.

Morse got 100,978 votes Tuesday to defeat challenger Steve Snipper, a Libertarian. Snipper earned 23,401 votes.

Morse, who won a fourth term, credited her staff's hard work during the past 12 years for helping her win by such a wide margin.
